Pinky

Pinky lives somewhere between sugar rush and daydream. Inspired by sweets and the bold, playful world of Lisa Frank, this piece leans fully into color, softness, and a kind of surreal innocence. Her cotton-candy palette, glossy eyes, and heart-shaped detail give her a confectionery presence that feels both nostalgic and slightly otherworldly.

I wanted her to feel like a character you might have imagined as a kid but couldn’t quite describe. There is a sweetness to her, but also a calm, almost distant expression that keeps her from becoming too precious. Her oversized eyes and delicate features pull from cartoon language, while the exaggerated color choices push her into something more stylized and dreamlike.

Pinky is about joy, but not in a loud way. She exists in a softer space, where color carries emotion and personality. She is playful, a little mysterious, and completely her own.
